Bidet nozzle not working | How to fix it?

The Bidet nozzle is one of the most crucial parts in a bidet seat system, which sprays water with different levels of water pressure, water volume, and water temperature based upon the settings and user’s command.

What happens if the bidet nozzle does not work?

A bidet seat becomes useless and it is hard to check inside a bidet seat. Before sending the bidet seat for repair or replacement with a new one, you can check some details of why the nozzle is not working.

Check the following steps.

A. Power source

  1. Is there a power light on?

You can check through the keyboard to see if the power is on; if any indicator light is on in the keyboard, power comes through the bidet seat.

  1. If you are unsure if the power is on, unplug the power cord, then plug it in.
  2. If there is no sign of the power on, check to see if other devices are functioning.
  3. If there is no power on the bidet seat, then you need to replace the controller board in the bidet seat. Call the manufacturer for repair service.

B. Power is on, but none of the keys are functioning.

When the body sensor is off, you cannot use any keys. Make sure to sit on the bidet unit to press a key. If none of the keys are functioning, you have a keyboard or controller board issue.

C. If all keys are working, but wash keys.

When a key is working, but none of the wash keys are not working case, you have an issue with the controller board, air pump, or bidet nozzle.

D. When you press a wash key, the bidet nozzle moves out, but no water spraying.

This is a typical case where all keys are functioning, and the bidet nozzle is not spraying water. Follow the below step to ensure no contaminants are blocking the water opening at the nozzle.

  • Press a bidet nozzle cleaning button (this key is for either nozzle cleaning automatically or manually) for more than 3 seconds.
  • Inspect the water opening at the nozzle and remove any contaminant in the hole.
  • Gently clean the nozzle with a wet cloth and ensure not leaving any residue at the nozzle hole.
  • The nozzle will retract after 1 to 3 minutes, depending on the manufacturer and model.
  •  Turn the power off and on, there will be mechanical movement noises.
  • Press the posterior or bidet key, and find if it sprays water. If not, either the air pump or controller board is not working, or there is a leak in the water supply system in the bidet seat.
  • If you have a tank-type bidet seat, then there is a chance of leaking at the tank.
