How do I fix the remote bidet not working on my bidet seat?
If you have an issue with remote bidet not working, please follow the steps below:
1. Does your remote control blink when you press a button on the remote?
1.1 Most remote works like your TV remote, using InfraRed technology, and by pressing a button, the remote will respond with a red light flash confirming that the battery and internal circuit work properly.
1.2 If there is no red light on the remote upon pressing a button, either the remote runs out of the battery or the remote is not functioning.
1.3 If no red light blinks, then replace the batteries with new ones to see if the remote responds with a red light.
1.4 If a red light comes on, your remote is working; otherwise, the remote needs further assessment or replacement.
1.5 If no red light comes on, then disassemble the remote carefully. There are locking screws as you remove the batteries. Unscrew them and gently lift the top cover of the remote. If the top cover of the remote does not separate from the body then there are other screws.
1.6 Once the top cover of the remote is separated from the remote body, inspect the remote circuit to see if there is any sign of oxidation, which should be cleaned up with alcohol. Clean them up with a dry towel with alcohol, then wait for several minutes until the circuit dries out completely. Assemble the remote back with caution. Then press a button to see if a red light flashes. If there is NO red light, you need to replace the remote with a new one.
Proceed with step 2, if you have a red light come on when pressing a button on the remote.
2. Remote works but unsure if the remote communicates with the bidet seat
First, sit on the bidet seat or hold the body sensor down. Press a button on the remote to see if the remote communicates with the bidet seat. If the remote successfully communicates with the bidet seat, then you have fixed the issue. Otherwise, proceed with Step 2.1 below.
2.1 If pressing a button, for instance, a posterior wash button does not move the nozzle out of the nozzle base, then bring your remote closer to the bidet seat where the InfraRed receiver is located on the bidet seat. Usually, the receiver is located to your right as you sit on the bidet seat.
2.2 If the bidet seat still does not respond with a posterior wash button, then there is an issue with either the receiver or the bidet seat itself.
- Check your bidet seat power if it is on and if water flows into the bidet seat.
- If the bidet seat power is on and water flows into the bidet seat, then the InfraRed receiver is not working.
- If the bidet seat power is not on and no water flows into the bidet seat, then the bidet seat is not functioning.
- If the receiver or bidet seat is not working, you should call the manufacturer for services.
