2. Electrical requirements – wattages, clean power, proper ground

Most of the time, you have a good power line coming to your bathroom. However, there could be an issue with the power line.

2.1 Why is checking wattage essential?

A bidet seat requires about 1100 watts in run-time, sufficiently supplying uninterrupted power to the bidet seat. If the capacity decreases under 1100 watts, then you will experience a sudden stop.

Most of the time, you have enough wattage coming to your bathroom. However, when you run a hair dryer in parallel with the bidet seat, and the bidet seat turns off by itself, you might have a wattage issue.

The best way is not to run another heavy electrical device in the bathroom at the same time

Check your bathroom wattage and what is the available wattage at the bathroom. If you have limited wattage, do not run another heavy device.

2.2 Check the AC outlet for proper ground.

Without proper ground, you may face multiple issues. The symptoms of no grounding may vary, including a sudden stop of the bidet unit, keystrokes won’t work, no water spray, etc. You can use a multimeter to check the ground.

3. Check to see if you have clean power.

Sometimes the bathroom may have power surges and noses in the power line. These will harm the bidet seat and other electrical devices in the bathroom. The easiest way to fix it is to install a power cleaner like Oneac.

4. Proper water pressure

The water pressure to your home comes between 45 to 80 psi (pounds per square inch), equivalent to 0.31 Mpa to 0.55 Mpa. Living Star bidet seats operate at 0.07 to 0.74 (MPa), accepting coverage for incoming water pressure.

5. Water opening valve

Most homes in the US embrace either 3/8″ or 1/2″ inches (about 99%). We support both sizes with a conversion nut. If you have other water opening sizes, contact us.
