Why is tankless hygienic?
No tank means no chance of getting molds or bacteria developed in the tank. Water comes into the tankless unit and is heated, then sprayed via the nozzle immediately as you press a wash button.
Why the tank-type or hybrid-type is less hygienic?
The tank-type or hybrid-type seat keeps water in a tank for heating. Thus, both types increase the chance of getting bacteria and require heating the tank continuously. The difference between hybrid and tank-type is that the hybrid type uses a small water tank.

As a scheduled maintenance of the bidet, you want to clean up the nozzle manually. By pressing the cleaning key for 3 seconds, the nozzle comes out from the base for 3 minutes then you can manually clean the nozzle.
